As a screenwriter, Alys Murray has won the 2022 Audience Choice Award at The New Orleans International Film Festival for New Orleans Noel.

In 2021, she won the WriteMovies Romantic Comedy Award for her screenplay, STUDY DATE, which is a modern rom-com retelling of William Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost.

Alys is a Respectability lab fellow. She is also an alumna of the Orchard Project Episodic Lab and OP Forward programs. In 2022, she was named an Inevitable Foundation Elevate Grant Recipient.

As a novelist, Alys has hit the international bestseller lists of Apple and Amazon three times. The Magnolia Sisters, Sweet Pea Summer and The Perfect Hideaway share this distinction.
